The 2026-2027 "Capture the Spirit of Manistique" Photo Contest runs from July 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. Submit pictures taken in the Manistique area or nearby attractions using the upload form on this page.

Grand Prize

Winning photo of the 2026-2027 Manistique Photo Contest will be featured on the cover of the 2027 Manistique Visitors Guide and the photographer credited inside. Weekend getaway or local prize package: Stay at Manistique Sands and receive breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 days. The winner will also be featured on Visit Manistique's website and Facebook page.

The winning image becomes the cover photo for the 2027 Manistique Visitors Guide. Inside the guide will also feature a Photographer Spotlight, the Top 10 Photo Contest Finalists and Honorable Mentions.

Contest Rules

Rules for the 2026-2027 "Capture the Spirit of Manistique" Photo Contest

Entrants must be at least 18 years old (or have parent permission)
Entrants must submit only photos they personally took
Photos must be taken in the Manistique area or nearby attractions
Please submit high-resolution image (minimum 3000 pixels wide)
No AI-generated images
Basic editing of photographs (brightness, contrast, cropping) is acceptable
One entry at a time. Each entry must be sent separately
Photographer grants Visit Manistique permission to use the images in future tourism marketing while retaining copyright
Each entry gives Visit Manistique permission to use images on Facebook or other social media and promotions
Please note if your photo is selected as the Grand Prize winner it may be cropped to fit the Visitors Guide cover "portrait" dimensions
