Manistique Central Park

Maple Street - Manistique, Michigan

The 40-acre park which surrounds Manistique's quarry pond, has areas set up for a variety of summer and winter activities including a hill for sledding, an archery range, a walking and nature trail, a baseball field, basketball and tennis courts, picnic areas, swimming beach and fishing piers, with fish-stocked waters.

Central Park is in the middle of the City and is centered around Quarry Lake. Recreation facilities are used by the general public of all ages. Many City-sponsored events are held in and around Central Park. The softball field is used by the Manistique High School softball team. The band shell used in summer for free weekly concerts.

Summer Concert Series

Manistique Central Park Band Shell

This year’s Music in Manistique Summer Concert Series will be presented by Lake Effect Community Arts Center in partnership with the City of Manistique. The concerts are sponsored by Manistique businesses and organizations and by a mini-grant from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council. Concerts will be performed outside at the Manistique City Band Shell, located in beautiful Central Park, beginning at 7 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved to Little Bear West Arena, located at 180 North Maple Street. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
